About

Wild Greens is a family-owned business based in White Oak, Stafford County, near Fredericksburg, Virginia. We are passionate about healthy, organic food grown with care and sustainability. At Wild Greens, we prioritize using non-genetically modified seeds from certified producers and organic methods to grow our crops. Our produce is cultivated in controlled environments to ensure optimal temperature and humidity, all while remaining free from harmful pesticides.

The inspiration for Wild Greens came when Batsirai and Petronella relocated to Fredericksburg, Virginia, with a dream of providing their three children with nutritious, organically grown food. They envisioned a farming approach rooted in traditional practices—eschewing excessive pesticide use and genetically modified seeds designed solely for higher yields, cosmetic perfection, or herbicide resistance. Instead, they focused on cultivating food that’s not only safe and healthy for humans but also gentle on the environment.

On their farm, they also aim to raise livestock and produce antibiotic-free eggs and meat to combat the growing issue of antimicrobial resistance. Wild Greens began with microgreens, grown from organic-certified seeds using sustainable, chemical-free methods. Today, they offer a variety of microgreens, including green peas, radishes, and broccoli, which are available at the Fredericksburg Downtown Farmers Market in Virginia.

At Wild Greens, we are committed to providing fresh, high-quality produce while supporting healthier families and a more sustainable planet.
